Cuphea hyssopifolia 'Lavender Lace' (aka false heather) is a wonderful, blooming, butterfly-attracting, drought-tolerant shrub. Seemingly countless delicate medium-purple flowers appear throughout the blooming season, starting in late spring and running until October. A heat-loving, mounding champ in beds, borders and large containers, with lushy, shiny green foliage. Makes a great filler plant for planter combos. Along with butterflies, 'Lavender Lace' is a welcome sight to hummingbirds and birds. Grows to 10 in. H to 12 in. H and 16 in. W to 18 in. W. Needs well-draining soil. Provide full sun. Flowers spring to fall. Hardy to Zone 10°F/35°F.
